The Phases of Gonstead Corrective Chiropractic Care
Phase 1: Initial Intensive Care
The intent of the initial phase of care is to stop the damage from continuing and interrupt the patterns and habits your body has developed that led to your problem. The adjustments are spaced closer during this part of care to avoid your body reverting back to an unhealthy pattern.
Phase 2: Corrective Care
During the corrective care phase we start to develop a new pattern of alignment and remove interference to your nervous system. Your muscle spasms and inflammation will decrease, and your spine will begin to stabilize.
Phase 3: Maintenance Care
Once your body has fully healed and you are no longer experiencing back pain or other pain symptoms, it is important to come in for periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid further problems in the future. Usually, this phase of chiropractic care only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 1-4 times per month, based on your lifestyle and goals.
